A very nice place to visit to learn about the local native American tribe, the Cherokee. You can go walk around the area and the shore of Tellico lake. Very pretty place. There are also at special events throughout the year as well.

A must visit place to honor and experience the Cherokee. The burial mound, alone, is a sacred place to feel kindred to Americans who wed their land so long ago.

This is an excellent resource for local history! Affordable - kids under 12 are free! The exhibit is a manageable length with engaging imagery. My kids stayed interested the entire time and came home with quality history/information. The gift shop has options at all price points. The buildings outside were educational and there's even a pamphlet thay educates about trees! We'll be back. We loved it.

I truly enjoyed the visit to the museum and leaned a lot about Sequoyah's life. What he, along with his daughter, Ahyoka accomplished is remarkable. The site is beautiful and the host was very kind. An hour going through the museum and the exterior exhibits was sufficient.

We were there the weekend of Sept. 6-7 for the festival and reenactment. We participated as Artillery in the reenactment. The event staff and all the volunteers were supportive of our needs. Hope to be back next year in a larger capacity.
